USS Midway CV-41 ca.early postwar.
United States Navy aircraft carrier and lead ship of her class. MIDWAY was commissioned on September 10, 1945, eight days after the surrender of Japan, and was the largest ship in the world until 1955. MIDWAY served in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm, and was decommissioned in 1992. The Trumpeter kit portrays MIDWAY prior to a major modernisation refit in June 1955 which included the installation of an angled flight deck, new enclosed bow and steam catapults.

37 sprues, detailed decks & single-piece hull. Extensive photo-etch detail parts. Aircraft wing includes F4U & SB2C. L: 841mm, W: 156.2mm, Total parts 1290+.
